Redmi Buds 6 India launch date set for December 9; Key Features Teased

The Redmi Buds 6 TWS earphones were initially unveiled in China in September along with the Redmi Note 14 series. The wireless earphones are now confirmed to be arriving in India. The launch date, design and key features of the Indian variant of the earphones have been revealed. They are expected to share the same specifications as the Chinese version. The Redmi Buds 6 are claimed to support up to 42 hours of total battery life and up to 49dB of active noise cancellation (ANC).

Redmi Buds 6 will launch in India on December 9, as confirmed by posters on the Amazon microsite and Xiaomi India website. The live microsite reveals that the audio wearable will be available for purchase through the official website as well as the e-commerce site. The Redmi Note 14 5G series, which includes base, Pro and Pro+ variants, is scheduled to launch in India on the same day.

The teaser suggests that the Indian variant of Redmi Buds 6 will be equipped with a dual-driver unit and 49dB ANC support. The Chinese version features 12.4 mm titanium diaphragms with 5.5 mm micro-piezoelectric ceramic units.

The teaser confirms that the Redmi Buds 6 will launch in India with AI-assisted environmental noise cancellation (ENC) features. The earphones will come with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance and a remote shutter feature, which is teased to allow users to control the camera trigger of the paired handset.

The charging case of the Redmi Buds 6 India variant, similar to its Chinese counterpart, will feature a pill-shaped LED unit on the front, which will be placed above the USB Type-C port. With the case, the TWS earphones are claimed to offer a total playback time of up to 42 hours.

Redmi has not shared the pricing details of the Buds 6 in India. However, the earphones were launched in China for CNY 199 (roughly Rs. 2,400). The audio wearable has been introduced in Black, Cyan and White shades. The teaser suggests that they will be available in the same color options in India.
