Ora Ring 4 launched with upgraded sensor and up to 8 days battery life: Price, specifications


Aura Ring 4 was launched in select global markets on Thursday. The smart ring comes with a redesigned titanium build and is available in six colors. It is compatible with Oura app and supports Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) connectivity. The smart wearable is offered with twelve size options and size-specific chargers. It is equipped with smart sensing technology that is claimed to help provide more accurate health and activity readings. Like competing health and fitness trackers, the Oura Ring 4 has a ton of features, including heart rate and temperature sensors.

Ora Ring 4 price and availability

The Ora Ring 4 is priced starting at $349 (roughly Rs. 29,300) and comes in 12 sizes ranging from 4 to 15. The smart ring is offered in Black, Brushed Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and Stealth colors.

According to the company, the ring is available for pre-order through select channels in the US, UK, and some European countries and will start shipping from October 15.

The Ora Ring 4 comes with a lightweight, non-allergenic all-titanium build and has water resistance up to 100 meters. The company says that the smart ring is equipped with its Smart Sensing technology with an advanced algorithm, which it claims provides more accurate health and activity readings.

The ring has red and infrared LEDs that measure blood oxygen levels while the user sleeps, as well as green and infrared LEDs optional to measure heart rate, heart rate variability at all times, and respiratory rate during sleep. The accelerometer helps track users’ movements and activities throughout the day and a digital sensor measures changes in body temperature.

According to the company, the updated Oura app now provides detailed stress, activity and reproductive health information. Oura Labs, which allows members to try out experimental features, is now available on iOS as well as Android devices.

Ora Ring 4 is claimed to offer a battery life of up to eight days. Depending on the power level it takes about 20 to 80 minutes to charge. It comes with a size-specific charger and a USB Type-C cable. The smart ring supports Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity. Its width is 7.90 mm and thickness is 2.8 mm. Depending on the size, the ring weighs between 3.3 grams to 5.2 grams.
