Nothing Year 3 is expected to be announced soon. Although Nothing has yet to announce the product, recent teasers from the company have suggested that a third-generation Nothing Ear is likely to launch next. So far, Nothing has shared cryptic teasers with animal emojis and mascots. Now, the UK-based OEM has revealed the date of its next community update, where Nothing Year 3 could be teased. Some speculations also suggest that there may be two new products from the company.
one in Post On X (formerly Twitter), Nothing shared a poster with the caption “Play Date”. The poster shows a beetle and a frog facing off. It does not disclose any other details. The caption says that more will be revealed in the company’s upcoming community update on April 18. This is also confirmed in the Nothing Community entry.
The company previously teased the upcoming launch with a frog and a beetle emoji. It was also accompanied by a teaser showing a frog jumping over a beetle. This is expected to hint at the imminent launch of Nothing Year 3. They are likely to come with considerable upgrades compared to the Nothing Year 2, which was officially represented by a Beetle in promotional material.
However, some interpreted the frog and beetle teaser as a hint of two upcoming products instead of one. Nothing CEO Carl Pei quoted One such post talks about the possibility of Nothing speakers launching alongside the alleged Nothing Ear 3. However, neither the company nor the executive has confirmed any of the speculations. It is best to take all such speculations with a pinch of salt.
A report by MySmartPrice claims that a Flipkart microsite for the Nothing Ear 3 has also gone live, adding to the suspicion that these are the next products to launch. However, the page could not be found till the time of writing the news.
The Nothing Ear 3 is expected to succeed the Nothing Ear 2, featuring 11.6mm custom drivers, an AI-assisted microphone, and support for touch controls. The earphones offer up to 40dB active noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and IP54 rating. The charging case has an IP55 rating. These were launched in India for Rs. 9,999 and are available in black and white color options.
