CMF Watch Pro 2 reportedly spotted on BIS site, hinting at an India launch soon

The CMF Watch Pro 2 will likely launch later this year as the successor to the CMF Watch Pro, which was unveiled in September 2023. The alleged smartwatch has not been officially announced yet, but reports suggest that it may hit the markets soon. The moniker also hasn’t been confirmed, but a new CMF model was recently spotted on a certification site, and it’s expected to be the Watch Pro 2. It is likely to come with an upgrade to the CMF Watch Pro.

As per 91Mobiles report, a smartwatch with model number D398 was spotted on the website of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). It is being speculated that it will be CMF Watch Pro 2. The listing has not revealed any other details about the smartwatch. However, the BIS certification suggests an imminent India launch.

It is worth noting that the existing CMF Watch Pro was listed on BIS with model number D395. The similarity in numbering indicates that the upcoming smart wearable will be the successor to this first model. However, readers are advised to take the information with caution, especially regarding surnames. Earlier this year, Nothing made any changes to the naming standards of its audio products. Since CMF is a Nothing sub-brand, it wouldn’t be surprising if it took a similar approach to the items in its catalog.

Regardless of the moniker, the successor to the CMF Watch Pro is likely to come with upgrades. Apart from other improvements, it can be expected to get a larger display or better battery life. CMF Buy Nothing’s next smartwatch may also see AI-based integration, which is a similar update to its existing audio product items. We’re likely to learn more about the watch in the next few weeks, either officially or through leaks and more listings.

The CMF Watch Pro is currently available in India for Rs. 3,999 and comes with a square 1.96-inch AMOLED screen, a 340mAh battery that is claimed to offer up to 13 days of battery life, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
