According to the International Data Corporation (IDC) report, worldwide tablet shipments increased by 20.4 percent to 39.6 million units in the third quarter of 2024 from 32.9 million units in the third quarter of 2023. The report is based on preliminary data from the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker and notes that tablet supply growth in Q3 2024, compared to Q3 2023, is due to increased AI integration into devices. Apart from the Microsoft Surface Pro with CoPilot+, all other AI-integrated tablets are in their early days, the report said. The report said Apple shipped 12.6 million tablets in Q3 2024, up 1.4 percent year-on-year, while Samsung shipped 7.1 million tablets in Q3 2024, up 18.3 percent year-on-year. Entered.
