Vivo’s upcoming foldables have been leaked several times in the last few months. While earlier leaks had shown simple schematics, recently some key specifications have been revealed, followed by images of the products. In one instance, Vivo’s X Fold 2 also appeared in an unboxing video. However, the launch and existence of the brand’s first clamshell foldable, Vivo X Flip, has remained a mystery until now. Vivo has finally revealed the launch date for its upcoming foldable devices and a number of new photos and hardware details have also been unofficially leaked, including the lesser known Vivo Pad 2 tablet.
Leading the announcement, Vivo has made it official through its official Weibo account that the upcoming Vivo X Fold 2 and Vivo X Flip will be announced on April 20, 2023 at 7:00 PM in China. The announcement came through a photo that showed huge models of both the devices in a prominent place. The company also revealed that it will also unveil the Vivo Pad 2 at the event.

What remains to be seen at the time of launch are the price tags for each of these devices and whether Vivo plans to launch one or both of these foldables globally. The Vivo X Fold and Vivo X Fold+ are available only in China as of now.
