Apple’s much-awaited Indian retail stores are finally opening the doors to customers next week. The Apple BKC store in Mumbai will open on April 18, followed by the Apple Saket store in Delhi on April 20. To mark the occasion, Apple BKC and Apple Saket have announced a special “Today at Apple” session. These free educational sessions, offered online and in Apple retail stores, cover a wide range of topics such as photography, videography, music, art, design, and more. Led by trained team members, the sessions are designed to celebrate the local community and culture in Mumbai and Delhi. The event received an overwhelming response from Apple fans across India and all the sessions were booked within a day of the reservation opening.
In preparation for the opening of its first Indian retail store, Apple BKC is hosting a special Today at Apple series titled “Mumbai Rising”, which will run from opening day through the summer. The sessions bring together visitors, local artists and creators and offer hands-on activities with Apple products and services that celebrate the local community and culture in Mumbai. They offer a combination of workshops and creative demonstrations in their retail stores.
Today’s reservations at Apple BKC reached the highest level from April 21 to April 24, soon after bookings began on Tuesday. Apple Saket also received an overwhelming response and is completely booked from 23rd April to 25th April.
Apple’s Today at Apple events at BKC aim to encourage engagement with the brand, including a filmmaking session with award-winning science fiction director Aarti Kadav, photography and video editing sessions with iPhone models by photographer Prarthana Singh, for kids Emoji-making classes included. and music sessions by Sandunes among others. Apple Saket’s sessions include iPhone photography and video editing sessions. Additionally, new users of iPhone, iPad and Mac can avail learning and refresher sessions at both Apple BKC and Apple Saket stores.
The Today at Apple program has been available worldwide since 2017, with sessions in every store. Interested users can sign up for the sessions taking place globally from Apple’s official website or calendar, or through the Apple Store app.
Additionally, to celebrate the opening of Apple BKC and Apple Saket, the Cupertino-based company has released special wallpapers for iPhone, iPad and Mac based on depictions of the barricades of the new India retail stores. It has also launched a special Apple Music playlist featuring “Voices of Mumbai and Delhi”.
