With this upgrade, Siri is said to be able to handle back-and-forth conversations and “increasingly more sophisticated requests.” Gurman claimed that the new version of Siri is being called LLM Siri internally. The report claims that it will also be able to generate AI-powered Siri texts and perform other AI chatbot tasks.
Apple is said to be planning to announce the new Siri as part of the iOS 19 and macOS 16 updates, which will arrive in Q3 2025. However, the features reportedly won’t ship until early 2026.
Interestingly, the tech giant has also posted new job listings that are related to the reported functionality.
